New Music: Dinosaur Pile-Up – Round The Bend

As irreverent as the name suggests, Dinosaur Pile-Up have reconstituted the finest parts of early 00s punk rock with latest track ‘Round The Bend’, taken from upcoming album ‘Celebrity Mansions’.

Utterly anthemic in its super-sized chorus, the band leave nothing out there in sending up the best elements of the Sum 41 era.

Fourth album ‘Celebrity Mansions’, out on Parlophone Records is full of these gems. At a time when music seems to be more serious and social-commentary than ever, Dinosaur are the sort of antidote you didn’t know you were looking for.

Now in their 12th year after various guises and line-up changes, frontman Matt Bigland, drummer Mike Sheils and bassist Jim Cratchley keep orving time after time that sometimes the past is the best way forward.

The trio will embark on a five-date in-store tour from June 7, taking in Leeds, Bristol, London, Kingston and Brighton.
